December 13

Friday the 13th.

I’m not one to be superstitious though, so that boat has sailed and is a dot on the horizon.

It’s still winter, it’s still (brutally) cold, it’s still gray. It’s time for cocoa!

But then the phone rang…

I’m a master at multi-tasking.

September 2

Back to work.

Yeah, I know it’s a holiday. Who cares? Someone has to work.

As a person who spent three years at the Post Office working EVERY holiday (yes, even Thanksgiving, leaving me with no choice for dinner other than the White Castle on University, and even CHRISTMAS, which left me with nothing but a depressing frozen dinner, because even White Castle employees got Christmas off, fer Chrissakes), I personally have no issue working a holiday. Not because it’s my own business, but because it’s good to get into a groove, to have a schedule. I’m lazy enough as it is without having a designated LAZY DAY every few months.

Besides, I finally got the hubby to put up more classes. Now if I could get him to put in new ceiling tiles to replace those nasty stained ones from when the roof leaked.

August 11

This is me a few hours ago deciding whether or not I should roll out of bed.

If you must know, that didn’t last long. I’m a busy woman.

It is now 11:21 a.m. In the meantime, I canned a load of tomatoes (with garlic, bay leaf, and Japanese eggplant), did two loads of laundry, cleaned off the counter tops and the kitchen table (which was covered in wire and beads), dusted the roses (they really needed it, poor things have rot), and headed to work, where I am working, tweeting, Facebooking, and packing up a box for my daughter. In a half hour when I’m finished, I plan on going to the store for provisions, hitting Nordstrom to pay my bill, and making dinner. (The Big Guy says he’s hungry for walleye.) Then I might edit a bit before working out.

Phew. And this is Sunday, my day of rest.
