I bought a new pair of Tevas for working out.

I’ve never been much of a fan for shopping. It costs a lot, plus it’s exhausting! I had a friend in Minnesota who loved to shop. She took me to the Galleria in Edina, where we stayed ALL DAY LONG. I was bored to tears, and I spent several thousand dollars that day.

I especially hate shopping for work out shoes. They are so friggin’ ugly these days! What’s with the day-glo colors? And why are they so stiff? At least Tevas are earth toned in color, and they’re nice and wide for my nice and wide feet. They’re comfy from the get-go, meaning I don’t have to break them in. The ankles are nice and low. I don’t know why, but a lot of work out/casual shoes are high in the back. Murderous.

These are a nice color. They’re lightweight. I can see myself hiking Muir Woods in them.

If I ever get back to San Francisco.

In the meantime, I’m firing up the incline trainer. Maybe I’ll map Muir Woods today?

Holy cow, the temperatures have taken a nosedive! Which means it is now pleasant enough to clean the house.

Plus it was time. The cat hair was piling up everywhere. Thank goodness for Dyson.

Of course, after that frenzy of domestic goodness, I was pooped.

Still had to go to work and run to Ann Arbor. And grocery shop.

Damn it, I’m busy.

I’m kinda-sorta getting ready for the Ann Arbor Art Fair, which is in two and a half weeks. I’m a member of the Michigan Silversmith Guild, so I will be in their tent again this year.

Art Fair is fun, but it’s (usually) on the hottest weekend of the summer. Two years ago, I thought I would die from heat stroke. Last year, it was so chilly, I had to buy a poncho from another artist to keep warm. The first year, I barely made enough to pay for my fee. Last year, I made a TON. It was nice. I prefer chilly and flush to hot and poor.

I’m making ankle bracelets this week. This one’s my favorite – sterling silver, jade and mystic topaz.

Damn, I have ugly ankles.
