I have a closet full of shoes.
No. You don’t understand. I have many, MANY shoes. Many.
I buy shoes for their artistic value. Many of my shoes are gorgeous, and most of those I have never worn. That’s because gorgeous shoes make your feet hurt. I also collect vintage shoes. I have a pair of vintage 1983 Candies from the disco era. They are bee-u-ti-ful. The leather Candies survived the disco era; the satin ones did not.
These beauties are Steve Maddens. I used to like Steve Maddens, when the line was new and the designs were fresh, but not so much anymore.
Ugly shoes. I’ll never buy them.

SUMMER! It’s finally here.
I think.
This is me and my morning cup o’ Jo. (Jo and Jo…get it???)
Since going on this Instagram-selfie voyage this year, I can see what hipsters young and old need: a third hand for holding props.
In jewelry work, we employ “third hands” for holding up items while you work on some other part of the piece. Some incredibly ambitious hipster should invent this.
Oh, I forgot. Hipsters aren’t very ambitious.

You might think the First Day of Spring is March 20, but it’s not.
The real first day of spring is the first day of Spring Break.
It also heralds the coming of summer, the busy season at work.
I thought it would be busier today than it is.
Coffee, need coffee.
And yes, those are photos of Wally Cleaver and my daughter over my shoulder.
