*sigh*

I guess it had to happen.

Winter is here.

By the size of the snow flakes and the relentless precipitation, I would venture to guess that we’re in for at least six inches today. Still I braved the elements. I had to.

If I don’t go outside and walk around the yard, my Boston terrier will not poop. Outside, anyway. She’ll wait until I’ve turned my back and lay a big surprise right by the door.

I don’t have time today to shovel a space in the yard for her. That’s for my husband to do.

Okay, it’s officially winter. It snowed.

I know, I know. It could have been worse. A LOT worse. The states west of us are suffering from below zero temperatures. The states south and east of are under tons of snow. The states WAY south have ice.

But take my word for it; this is bad enough.

Time to break out the gloves and lamb scarf.

Winter. I hate it.

For those of you who think I took a driving selfie, you are so wrong. I never drive and selfie. I’m not that coordinated.

No, I was parked in front of my office, gathering courage to get out of the car and race for the front door.

This is me in mid-run. On my fabulous NordicTrack incline trainer.

It was hotter than hell. I had the treadmill fan on, the ceiling fan on, and a standing fan pointed in my face, and I was still hot.

Yesterday, I ran the Valley of the Falls Drive in California. Google street showed two feet of snow.

If only…

Yes, I sometimes run without shoes. That’s because I can’t find a decent pair of workout shoes that do NOT look like clown shoes.

For some ungodly reason, I’m able to leave work early.

Which is good, because when I left the house today, I decided to wear sandals.

There’s a threat of snow tonight. I should find some socks and shoes.

Well, it happened.

It snowed. AGAIN.

Since I had to venture to Dearborn, I had to battle traffic that had forgotten how to drive in it. This state’s drivers suffer from short term memory loss.

Anyway, here are some of my houseplants that are still alive. Tomorrow I’ll showcase the ones that are on life support.

It snowed last night, a few inches, but my husband isn’t home, he’s in Colorado for the weekend. Guess who had to shovel?

So my toes are cold, I hurt my back, and I’m California Dreamin’.
